What your body needs

According to Dr. Joseph Scalaga in his book, The Detox Revolution, the American Cancer Research discovered in 1989 that the bodies primary detoxification organ, the liver, cannot do it's job without phytochemicals and enzymes.

Phytochemicals come only from plants.  Enzymes come only in Raw foods.  Thus you can discern that the body needs a high percentage of RAW PLANTS to do it's job of detoxification and prevent toxic damage and deterioration.

Antioxidants prevent damage from free radicals.  Antioxidants are profuse and useable by the body when consumed in RAW fruits and veggies of dark color.  A good way to judge this is if the color permeates through the food.  Example:  A cucumber skin is dark but the inside is white, not high in antioxidants.  A tomato is red through the entire fruit, a high antioxidant food.

CDC: Connection Between Lifestyle Choices And State Of Wellness

According to the American Holistic Health Association, The CDC reports that the key factors influencing an individual’s state of health have not changed significantly over the past 20 years. Quality of medical care is only 10%. Heredity accounts for 18% and environment is 19%. Everyday lifestyle choices are 53%. The decisions people make about their life and habits are, therefore, by far the largest factor in determining their state of wellness.

AMA Report on the Council of Medicine: CDC has identified the following strategies to reduce obesity in children: increased physical activity, increased breastfeeding, reduced television viewing, reduced intake of sugar-sweetened beverages, and increased consumption of fruits and vegetables (Dietz et al., Health Affairs, March/April 2007).

The study authors concluded that life-style changes, disease prevention, and early detection of disease could reduced the number of illnesses by 40 million cases and save $1.6 trillion from 2003 to 2023.
